Gamma Velorum (known as Regor) is the largest binary star in the
constellation .It's largest radius (Gamma B) is 9.5 million kilometers
with a luminosity of 280,000 times our sun. (Gamma A) has a luminosity
of 200,000 times that of our sun. The stars are located about
1,060 light years away from earth and is the left located on the right
most point on the constellation. Regor B has a surface temperature of
32,500K and Regor A with 30,000K. Both are class O giants.
